All religions are simply human constructs. The are destructive and divisive, quite the opposite to that which they pretend to be.

So, it is not surprising that so-called 'holy' texts are actually full of holes, for that is the only way in which they are hol(e)y.

That otherwise intelligent people can still be caught up in the nonsense of religion is bizarre, to say the least. I can understand that the uneducated, simple minded or desperate people turn to the myths for it is precisely these people whom religions exploit to gain converts but no one who exercises their intellect could possibly fail to see the hypocrisy of the religious or the damage religious believers have done and continue to do to humanity.

Humanity will never reach peace and equity as long as people continue to belief in mythical entities and governments and others support the pretence of religious importance and validity.

Indeed, it is not laws to protect religious freedom that we need but laws to protect us from it.
