An interesting piece. Several elements resonate clearly with me, while others don't.

I no longer 'believe', (I don't like that word for it is too casually used and its definition blurry & confused - to me, at least), in "love", for not dissimilar but perhaps even greater distrust than the reasons I gave in relation to belief.

"I have been inside myself for six months, questioning everything and coming up with no answers, no solutions,"

I've been inside myself for 76 years but, at least, now I know that such is alright because there are no answers, nor solutions. It is a flaw in our society that we condition people, (through schooling - which is actually socialisation, not education), to focus on 'answers'. This is a dead end for there are none, in as much as every 'answer' simply leads to another question.

Arriving at more questions is not a failing but an opportunity. It is the very essence of learning & development.

If one recognises that, metaphorically, it is *not* "love that makes the World go around" but empathy then much becomes more clear and continual and significant doubts or clouds in thought are often eliminated and new opportunities for connection, appreciation, communication & satisfying relationships open up.

I could say much more about this for it is a topic of great interest to me - one I would consider as an aspect of the 'politics of love'. Perhaps an article for another time.
