As, indeed, are individuals of all genders and both sexes. It is a human failing, not least when the context is one confused by notions of 'romantic' love or feelings.

It's no accident that differences between the sexes were once referred to as "the battle of the sexes", for just as war arises from failure to accept difference; to see the other side's point of view; to understand and to empathise - all of which could produce alternative solutions, instead there is reaction and too often, reaction out of proportion with the issue and which doesn't deal with it but rather exacerbates it.

The fundamental for this continuing problem, in my view, is that our society fails to engage children in learning of how and why and when and what are real and significant differences in life experience and its physical and mental effects, between male and female.

The result is that most of us grow with little understanding of our opposite sex and a feeble chance of empathising with members of it. This is worsened by the cloak of pseudo 'love' which is all pervasive and conditions most never to question what it actually means or whether it actually exists.

No empathy - no real 'love' or even caring. Just more misunderstanding. - Sad.

Take care. Stay safe. ☮️
