I agree. As much as I still operate in and enjoy the benefits of the Apple ecosphere, I increasingly feel that the company has somehow lost cohesion in its sense of direction.

There must be thousands or hundreds of thousands of Apple employees who use its products, as well as the loyal general public users you mention so Apple can hardly be unaware of these inconsistencies and the level of frustration and inconvenience they cause.

So why, oh why, are they acting as they are? Oh for the days of such client focused innovators as Bill Atkinson, once again.
