I always use a case. I do so not so much because I fear dropping the phone - as I'm still very careful with it. However, when one looks at a case after a few months use, let alone the years for which my phones usually stay with me, one soon realised that just average use causes the collection of marks, scratches and etc. which seriously affect the phone's appearance and eventual resale value.

I have always been able to sell my used phones as in pristine condition. If I hadn't used a case then that would definitely not have been the case. (excuse me).

The one irritating disadvnatage I have found is when I wish to use the camera. Although I can still do so with the phone inside the case, it does mean that I have to hold the front cover open and this makes things awkward. However, other than that, I find no real inconvenience, in fact, a benefit when I'm using it on speaker and want to just sit the phone on a desk or table. The case acts as a stand.
