I can't agree with such a simplistic notion of what motivates people. Indeed, it is the type of assertion that is based neither on research or evidence but simply populist adages, proverbs and commonplace misconceptions presented as significant wisdom.
Neither do I find it useful to conflate 'revenge' with 'justice'. There is no justice in revenge and the two are diametrically opposed in morality.
Sex is not a motivation but an emotion and a natural drive for survival of the species. The reality that its perversion by its intentional and sometimes accidental use in advertising and promotion and, basically, profit making, does not change that. It simply obscures or deflects understanding.
Money is a tool. Materialism, ideology, false notions of success - i.e. its common definition focusing on wealth, status, power, control, position & display, are what motivate desire for acquisition of money.
Of course, in today's societies, there are few where one can survive unless one has some money because almost any action requires it. However, that is not a motivation to acquire money so much as a motivation to eat, have shelter, and maintain health.
So, to me, these supposed motivations are typical of the type of common myth and superficial understandings of the clear dumbing down of our society.
We ought to be able to do far better than taking on such notions and exercising our intelligence in a more diligent and effective way such that we see beyond the superficial, common nonsense and conditioned delusions and misconceptions.
