I very much appreciate your comments & respect your understanding and what thought and, perhaps trauma, it must have taken to arrive at an objective view, possibly at odds with that of your closest ones.

My father, though inherently a good man was an anti-semitist and much to his ire, a Jewish couple moved into the terrace house next door. The ethos was a stifling one in which to grow and certainly coloured my life. Fortunately, (I believe), it resulted in my learning to resist judging others and to accept difference. So, though I'm very far from perfect, I think some good came of it.
