Interesting. Rarely, if ever, does one get the opportunity to read an informed and disinterested review of an Apple aficionado's switch to a competitor's product.
I've long been impressed with Samsung's products, because my experience has shown them to be well made, work well and last, as well as being fairly priced. However, the closest I've got to using one of their phones is owning and using a Galaxy pad. My experience has been predominantly with their larger appliances.
I'm not in a financial position to be able to sample all manner of gear nor able to keep up to date with the edge of innovation released to general consumers. I have not yet been able to afford to replace my Intel Mac Mini with an M series, nor my 2011 iMac Pro with a current model.
So, I don't see myself leaving the Apple ecosystem to join Samsung's 'galaxy' anytime in the near future and I wonder, anyway, whether the differences you describe are really significant enough to warrant it and/or how long it will take for Apple to provide an iPhone which has as good or better, as well as its current benefits?
Thanks for another interesting piece.
Take care. Stay safe. ☮️
