It ought to surprise no-one that a Fox news reporter throws rocks at a decent human being. They are well known for doing so because they represent the worst side of humanity. that of greed, privilege and the billionaire right-wing hypocritical demagogues that own them.

Caitlin Clark is to be commended for recognising her privilege and her promotion of diversity as well as acknowledgment of privilege bias that exists, not only in basketball, but almost all sports.

That Caitlin recognises this takes nothing away from the athletes who have come before her or their contribution and that of others who have supported the league and the sport. To suggest that it does is a furphy, i.e. misleading, unfair and ignorant.

I am a nobody but nevertheless a human being and I commend Caitlin for her compassion, understanding and willingness to raise the problem of privilege from a position of privilege. It demonstrates her strength of character and consideration for others, as well as her desire for an equitable environment in her sport.
