I find it increasingly difficult to understand just what the real situation is between Russia and Ukraine in military terms and also what the internal situation and relative strengths and weaknesses of each nation at this stage of the conflict.

One of the things that create difficulty is knowing who or what to trust. The competing propaganda of West and East and particularly of Soviet and then Russia v USA conditioning over many years makes it hard to even trust one's own objectivity when reading or hearing reports.

The advent of the conflict between Palestinians and Israel also seemed to largely push Ukraine into the background, at least as far as mainstream media is concerned.

Then there is the confounding mess of the USA political climate and the abhorrent support by it and other major western powers of Israel's genocidal response to the incursion of Hamas fighters on 7th October. The decline of any rational policy or action by the Republican Party has now led to another potentially critical change in the Ukraine v Russia conflict because of the failure to guarantee any further financial or military aid to Ukraine.

As if the situation weren't bad enough already vis a vis the USA's support for Ukraine, if Trump does once again become POTUS then we may even see a breakdown of NATO and an even greater disaster.

With China increasing its harassment of Taiwan and now North Korea preparing for war there seems to me to be an ever increasing potential for a nightmare scenario to eventuate and the dread of a 3rd World War ever more present.

So, thanks again, every little helps, as they say and finding what seems to be rational, objective and accessibly written information about these issues is something that I would have thought everyone ought to be concerned about.
