What has happened to JUSTICE in the USA?

So, the prosecution have just dropped the charges against Trump for his part in promoting the insurrection of January 6th.

Their reasoning: That they should follow legal precedent that no President should be subject to criminal prosecution — WTF?

If Trump’s actions were not both illegal and unpatriotic, indeed an action of promoting insurrection then what were they?

Indeed, for a sitting President to act as Trump did amounts to Treason — at least in my view.

I fail to see how the Judicial system can choose to drop charges on such a flimsy and nonsensical basis. This is an example of an action most of us would expect only in a one party, dictatorship or autocracy.

Isn’t the USA supposed to be a democracy? Aren’t ALL people supposed to be treated equally under the law? — What happened to that human rights principle, let alone legal, moral and equity principle?

Surely, it is bad if a citizen of no particular influence, wealth or status acts to promote the over-throwing of a legitimate election result and an attack on the Capitol, let alone which results in deaths, they will be prosecuted and deservedly so.

However for the President, who has sworn to uphold the Constitution and who supposedly represents the…
