Thank you. My only disappointment with your article is that a man didn't write it. I don't say that for any lack on your part but because it reminds me that there are still so few men, (relatively speaking), who will apply equal and equitable criteria to women as they do to other men.
As a human being, as well as a male, I cannot come to terms with the degree of sexism in our society, not for that matter with any of the other many negative 'isms'.
What has gone wrong that after 4 million years of standing erect and creating such outstanding technological advances, we seem to have advanceds so little, if at all, in our understanding and relationships with one another as human beings?
Is it and was it always inevitable that it should be this way? Is it a result of religious conditioning & the notion that 'God' is a 'he' and also has absolute power - at least according to believers? Is it a result of puerile romantic literature and notions of 'love' and 'passion' and 'forever' that bear little or no relationship to the reality of human partnerships?
I won't go on, although I could suggest & ask about many more potential causes. Perhaps it is a result, to some extent, of all of them. Perhaps it is a result of none of them and I just can't see. If that's the case then perhaps I just can't see because I'm a male. However, if that is the case, why does it disturb me so much and why do I find so much in your article that has such clear veracity that I can't understand how anyone could doubt or object to your view - except for deliberate rejection because they don't seek the truth but simply a match to their own opinion and benefit.
I've asked and still have many questions but there is one thing of which I have no doubt: the elements and actions involved in the treatment of Amber Heard are replicated daily all ove the World and that makes me ashamed of my sex and fearful that I may have within me whatever noxious seed matures into such manifestly obnoxious, repugnant, bullying and inexcusable behaviour.
