Thank you, Lee. I certainly don't consider you to "toss this information around lightly" - your sincerity is clear in your writing.

Neither do I suggest that such 'therapy' can never assist anyone. We are all unique and also all have unique experiences. What may benefit one very well may not benefit another at all or even do them harm.

So, I appreciate you accepting my comment in the spirit it was given. I am a victim of all manner of perfidy and I perpetrated none of it, though I am willing to accept that I may have contributed to the views of some of those who did perpetrate it.

I fully understand the concept that your therapy puts forward. As I said previously, it is common today.

However, it is in my view, simply one of the many psychological tricks that are sold to the public as though they are scientifically proven treatments.

I know that it is invalid to generalise from the particular so neither of our personal experiences or views is evidence of anything other than what we have felt or feel. Having said that, just as your personal experience has given you a sense that such a process does work, my own study, work and experience with psychologists and psychiatrists over many years, including 13 years working in a Mental Health Hospital, has convinced me of something very different. Indeed some of those health professionals with high status were responsible for blatant and destructive assertions, behaviour and decisions in my case. They were, in fact, complicit in destroying my career,

Regardless, as you obviously understand, all of us have our own views and where they are expressed without rancour or abuse and with some degree of logic and rationality, (as opposed to simple opinionation or rabid nonsense), then we ought to be able to accept their expression and seek what validity we can in them, even if we have to disagree to one extent or another.

So, I appreciate your article and your kind response to me. Take care. Stay safe. ☮️
