The likelihood is that it's not. Anyone who is arrogant enough to claim to be a 'Life Coach' is not worthy of the role.

One can coach basketball, soccer or gymnastics, one can't coach unique individuals how to live unique lives with unique experiences.

If life coaching is comparable to anything it would be 'painting by numbers' - a superficially pretty picture at the end, if you're fortunate, but one with no substance, depth, creativity or 'life' whatsoever.
