This article is right on the mark. Give me more politicians and political leaders who are as sane, unpretentious and in touch with life as is Sanna Marin.

Yes, the faux news will sensationalise all it can to either make money or serve its money orientated masters. That, unfortunately, is as yet the way it is. That is also why we need leaders with the style and flair and competence of Sanna Marin. It is she and those who similarly continue to live 'life', who will, if anyone ever can, transform our political systems & give us true representation which embodies a holistic and realistic understanding of society.

Thank you for writing this. I'm a 70 year old white male from the 'stiff upper lip' isle that gave much of the World the model for parliamentary democracy. Unfortunately, there has been a dismal failing of that model to keep pace with social & technological transformation, not least the beginning of a long overdue understanding that the ubiquitous idiom 'my better half' used in mock deferencde to a wife, is actually most often a reality, even when the user fails to understand that fact.

So, good on you, June and may there be many more Sanna's and Jacinda's to show the World honest and competent leadership that doesn't require shutting down or worse, pretending not to be human and need a life.
