Typical misinformation by a biased commentator who seeks to justify the unjustifiable, i.e. Netanyahu and his war-mongering supporters who are enacting an act of genocide on the Palestinian people after, in effect, having kept them imprisoned for decades.
Words are, indeed powerful. Words carefully manipulated are often extremely convincing.
This article is shameful. It is so because of all of its omissions, not least the betrayal of the Arabs by the British; the Balfour Declaration; the reality that the British, in concert with the support of France and Germany and, after pressure, the USA, chose to partition the land of the Palestinian people to create the State of Israel.
There is neither justification nor excuse for Netanyahu's aims and objectives. He should be indicted by the International Criminal Court as should those 'leaders' who support him.
This article constitutes one of the most transparently prejudiced pieces of writing that I have seen - and I have seen plenty.
I have to wonder at the number of human beings who have put aside compassion, caring or, as importantly, the ability to use their intellect in a disinterested, (objective, for those of you who don't know that this is different to "uninterested" - too many, sadly), manner.
Simplistic and deliberately skewed statements do nothing to advance understanding, harmony or peace between peoples, where history is complex and there are innumerable nuances involved in the events, attitudes and objectives of those involved over a long period of time.
