Upgrading to Ventura cost me massive inconvenience, several trips to an Apple approved centre, having to track down an orginal purchaser from whom I had purchased my mac mini which was now locked and unusable and having to prove that I was the owner of the machine.

All this despite my having used Apple computers since my first Apple II+, my name, address & equipment details being recorded against my Apple ID and Apple already having had my computer registered with them for around 12 months.

How did this come about? It happened because in after upgrading to Ventura I lost access to all sorts and also experienced strange changes all over the place. So, I decided I'd switch back to Monterey. - Dumb decision. Despite following all information I could find, from Apple & third parties, my computer shut down and locked.

I'd also waited until I thought Ventura was out of Beta and a full release. Then, just the other day, I read somewhere that it is still in beta release. Can anyone clarify this for me?
