Virtually your whole article is an example of exactly that of which you claim to have heard enough.

No rational and reasonable person will deny that some Hamas fighters committed war crimes on 7 October 2023, nor will they argue against it being right for those guilty being brought to trial.

However, that etanyahu and his war cabinet has engaged in not just targeted but also massive and indiscriminate bombing and destruction and dispossession of Palestinians, out of all proportions to what happened on the 7th October, is also a fact that no rational and reasonable person will deny and those guilty ought also to be brought to trial and be punished.

It is a disingenuous argument that anyone that opposes the brutality and savagery of what is nothing less than a genocidal attack on the Palestinian people, is therefore and antisemitic.

I have no doubt that there are antisemitic people who have used this opportunity to push their own flawed beliefs, just as the zionists did when lobbying England to split up Palestine and create the State of Israel which led to the dispossession of 750,000 Palestinians.

There will always be those with extremist views who seize any opportunity to gain support for their cause. However, that does not alter the reality that most people who are objecting to what the Israeli government has done and is doing, has nothing to do with a hatred of Jews but is because Israel has blatantly committed crimes against humanity on an unprecedented scale as well as genocide as defined in the Genocide Convention.

The people who oppose what Israel has done and is doing, including the brutality of the long term occupation and restrictions on Palestinians and the blatant breaking of international law by illegal settlers on the West Bank, do so because they are caring, compassionate, intelligent and thoughtful people who will tell the truth and do whatever they can to bring about an end to violence, killing, and hatred within humanity.

Your outrageously skewed and provocative piece of writing does exactly the opposite of that.

I can only will that at some stage you will begin to exercise your intellect and adopt a more considered, rational and equitable approach to assessing past and previous actions in relation to Israel, its creation, the Palestinians and who really caused and is benefiting from this war, for it is neither ordinary Israelis nor ordinary Palestinians.

Take care. Stay safe. ☮️
