Without a doubt, Nicole Kidman - and any and all other women ought to be able to age as they wish.

Others don't have to like what they see or understand why an individual chooses to present themselves in a particular way.

All of us are conditioned. Some of that conditioning we recognise and some we don't. Some we can do something about, (if we so choose), and some we cannot. It ought to be our choice.

I don't like the hairstyle nor did I think that Nicole needed any change to improve her looks. However, just as Evelyn Hall wrote of Voltaire: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it", I accept and will defend Nicole's right to look as she wishes.
