Yes, Elizabeth, you say it well and articulate some of my greatest fears. Each time I read of something else this apology for a man, Trump, has said or done, I find myself wishing it was already November and the election done and gone - for at least then I will know whether society has a majority of voters with integrity, rationality and compassion - regardless of their usual political ideological allegiance - or whether my worst fears are justified and a turning point in North American history as great as the Civil War will be recorded in the histories.
