Yes, I get your stories that are published in New Writers Welcome however I haven't followed you directly - though Medium says I have so perhaps I don't get all that you publish.

For your interest or information in relation to your content - I am not a prolific writer nor focused on any narrow theme. I have eclectic interests and write as the mood takes me or when prompted, often as a result of reading a piece that appeals.

In a broad sense, my concerns are social equity, politics, social control, injustice, personal and collective insanity of human beings and the appalling materialistic, profit over people culture and competitive charisma that infect our world as negatively as white ants do to timber.

Oh, and although living on an income below the poverty line, I don't write with the aim of making money but do appreciate the few dollars I may make each rare month when I write more often.

As for YouTube, I like to read rather than watch and am frustrated by incessant puerile and intrusive advertising so about all I use it only to obtain an occasional music video.

I had a following of around 6000 on LinkedIn but cancelled my membership because it seemed to me to be increasingly imbued with crass postings and even abusive ignorance the likes of which destroyed Twitter. I joined it in its early stages, as I did Twitter, Facebook and Quora, though in the case of LI for professional rather than social or casual contact reasons. I remain with none of them for the reasons given at the beginning of this paragraph.

My impression is, (very much a second-hand one), that for those who have a prime concern with financial return for their writing, Medium, is fraught with problems, not least the continuing change to its algorithms that can alter returns, despite an author having made no changes to how they are using it.
