Yes, it does seem that whilst humanity has learned so much in technological and scientific domains, we seem either reluctant or unwilling to learn in the affective domain.
I can't believe that I am the only one that sees this so obviously, yet those who have the influence, power and/or control to make a difference seem preoccupied with promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
No, I don't say that those fields are not important but I do question the reality that philosophy has almost disappeared from our universities and the humanities generally are seen as 'lesser than'. Yet this is exactly when we need them more than ever.
