Yes, it is unfortunate that those in power are either too ignorant to see the obvious: that desperation so often leads to desperate measures, or else they don't care for in one way or another they can use it for their own benefit.

Probably the latter is the case, for when one considers who is labeled a 'terrorist' and who 'acting in self defense' and compares it with what each side does, there is rarely any real distinction.

As with war, it is the winners or those who have the power at the time who get to write the history.
