You profess to have read much religious literature and I have no reason to doubt that such is the case, However, that you have done so and yet also claim to be a Christian, particularly in a piece discussing Brandolini's Law, is somewhat puzzling to me.

Given that there is no evidence whatsoever that any omnipotent being exists and that creationism, the notion of good and evil, and much else of religious texts - all of which were written by human beings - are readily refuted by science, how is it that you can be so erudite and well read and yet belief in such myth, particular when religion has been prominent in causing division, conflict, and enormous harm to humanity?

I don't pretend to any great intellect. I understand that I am nothing, as are we all nut I do have a keen desire to learn so this apparent contradiction interests me.

You may not wish to answer me and that is, of course, fine. I only ask that you don't take this comment as a personal attack or as trolling or some such. I only seek to learn from those who apparently 'know' but am aware that many people tend to confuse the issue with the person and assume that I am being malicious or, at least, capricious. That is not me but it is how I would characterise 'God', if I believed in that entity's existence, which of course I don't for it is too silly for words.
