Your account is substantially accurate but, in my view, minimal and skewed.

It is not sufficient, when claiming to clarify a complex situation, to selectively ommit or skirt over relevant information, such as the betrayal of the Arabs by the British and the subsequent partitioning of and lies about the relevant populations of Jews and Palestinians in Palestine at the time that Israel was created.

The British and its then colonial allies, did not consult the Palestinians about the partitioning and even stated that Jews were the majority of the population. In fact, well over 95% of the population then were Palestinian. The British and their friends did negotiate with the Zionists who had no legitimate claim to the land and did so because they saw it as in their interests to do so in order to attract the good will of the Jews in Europe and elsewhere.

In more recent times, there is little doubt but that the Jewish lobby in the USA is so strong and provides so large an amount of funding to USA politicians that the USA government will even go so far as it has, under Biden, a Democrat president, to oppose a cease-fire and support a nation committing clear genocide and war crimes.

I accept that you gave a disclaimer ahead of your article but as you are clearly articulate and able to research, I would have preferred to see a more thorough and balanced account of this conflict.
